Laurie Barry-Kinney
Laurie Barry-Kinney has proudly called the District of Tobique Valley home for 53 years, except for 1 year away. Alongside her husband, Kevin, Laurie values the strong sense of community, close-knit relationships, and quality of life that makes the District of Tobique Valley a wonderful place to call home.
Recently retired after an 18-year career as a Regional Operations Manager, Laurie brings extensive leadership experience to municipal government. Laurie has also dedicated many years to community service as a Sparks leader, Mini Ball coach, President of the Firefighters Auxiliary, Branch President of the Royal Canadian Legion, and Board of Directors at the Plaster Rock Golf Club to name a few.
As Deputy Mayor and Ward 1 representative, Laurie is committed to supporting growth and opportunity throughout the district while ensuring the voices of all residents are heard. Laurie believes in working collaboratively to help create a thriving community where future generations will choose to live, work, and raise their families.

Garbage Collection
Wards 1 & 3 (Gordon & Lorne):
From February 2024, garbage pickup will be on Thursdays, and recycling on the last Thursday of each month from January to April.
Important changes are coming to waste and recycling collection starting May 1st, 2024, a green bin (matching the size of the blue one) becomes mandatory for garbage pickup using the truck's mechanical arm. Each house will have one bin collected.
Please note: No bags or other types of garbage will be collected roadside from this date onwards.
